I have a few followers that read these posts, and occasionally comment on them. I'd like to thank you for listening to my rambling and for putting up with it :)

As a sign of respect to you, the reader, I'd like to make a few changes around here in order to keep this blog active. I'd like to make this a place that you can go to and spend 10 minutes, half an hour, or more … reading interesting articles and learning something new.

Changes that I have made so far include:

  • Modifying the CSS theme so that blog posts take up as much space as possible, and are easier to read. The sidebar has been removed from the blog category to help with this, and may also be removed from other pages in the future.
  • Articles now use the 'Pontano Sans' font from Google Web Fonts, with the aim of making the text easier to read. Feedback on this font would be great, as I am considering whether I should use it for other parts of the site.
  • I have re-tagged a few blog posts and made other slight organisational changes to make finding interesting articles a little easier. This includes a "related posts" section at the end of each article.

Promises for the future:

  • From here on out, I would like to commit to regular blog posts - at least one per week. If you decide to visit this blog as part of your weekend routine, you should find at least one new article every week. That's my goal.
  • Continuing to listen to your feedback. If you have suggestions or ideas that will make it easier for you to access the content on this blog, or if you have any topic suggestions, feel free to post those as a comment on any blog post, or contact me directly on my main website at www.shane-smith.com/contact.

New comments system is up - and all permissions should be configured correctly.

Okay, and I've just updated the sidebar list which shows a summary of recent comments.

Instead of the MiniRecentPosts module, I'm now using the ListPages module.

Yep. And I've also added an edit history and permalink. The history link only appears if the post was edited at least once.

Edit: Shane, after I post… the iframe isn't refreshing my main frame… instead, it's loading the blog post within the frame itself.

I start watching this category now… :)

I have shiftet the work with my own site alwas back and back and back.. there are such a lot of other important issue waiting… I have it on my togo list.

But for now I start the reading of your blog.

Hi Shane,
I have problems with your blog pages in IE( 9) - the text is flowing to the right wide outside the screen … like without any border or limiting …
I have always to shift with the horizontal Scrollbar .

This works on FF - there are such limits inside the screen.

Hope you can change this.?

This is strange. I am using Internet Explorer 10 at the moment to write this, and it seems to be working fine. I'll see if I can find a copy of Internet Explorer 9 to test with.

Could you upload a screenshot of the problem?

Hey Helmuti,

It should be completely fixed now! :) I got it working in IE9, but if you could just confirm that it also works in IE8 now I would be grateful.

The problem was the number of nested imports I was doing. IE8 and IE9 didn't seem to like the fact that my theme nested several @import declarations, so I removed one of them and everything seems to be working again.

I didn't notice the issue because IE10 doesn't have the same limitation. Thanks for letting me know! :)
